This is a familar composition with a twist. I wasn't happy with the initial painting and went over it with a layer of oil pastel after the paint had dried. I really like the added texture and line and plan to experiment more with the pastels.

You post so many paintings I absolutely love, but the oil pastel on top of this is truly wonderful, IMO. I love watching you're blog and surfing through old posts.
This works on so many levels. The way the oil pastel sits on top of the oil, and the resulting texture, is completely engaging.
