This is a very similar composition to the painting "Beach day" but with a completely different feel. There's some glare in the photo but even without it the yellow area seems to shimmer. Not sure how I did it or if I can do it again but sometimes you just get lucky. All in all, its one of my favorite recent paintings.

Shimmering sea reminds me of the ocean when the angle of the sun is low in the sky. I have seen it when it is almost tis yellow.
