Still life with pickle jar
Oil on panel
8"x8"
$175
I'm hoping to get to see the Morandi exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC next week and to get into the spirit I did this piece. If you're not familiar with his work it's definitely worth it to look him up. I've seen his work in books and on the web but never in person so I'm really looking forward to seeing the paintings in person.

I really admire your work and was wondering if you minded if I put a link on my blog to yours. Wow, I'm so jealous you get to go see the Morandi exhibit. Hope you'll report on it here. Thanks, Polly
man i really like this! What a great harmony of colors.
Thanks to both of you. Polly, I would be honored if you put a link on your blog.
Beautiful color! So love your subtle palette.
This pickle jar really caught my attention!! I follow Tracy Hegelson's blog and found your's from the Fine Art Department. Love this jar.
I love the liquidy feeling of the paint strokes across the jar.
Very jealous that you got to see Morandi's work in person.
