Evening #2
Oil on cradled gessobord
8"x8"x2"
$175

I'm here to tell you it's no easy thing to paint a landscape at dusk (at least for me) without a dramatic sunset and without it turning all muddy. Just wanted to capture that moment when the finite fades into the infinite.

Your brush strokes are so caressing of the atmosphere. They are so direct and possitive, no matter what color you use, I never see mud in your work. A good example of how true it is that there is no such thing as a muddy color. How nice any color looks depends on where it is in relation to other colors and how it was applied. Your work is an inspiration.

I have been following your blog for a while and love your paintings and your digital photography. I am blown away with the way you are able to capture so much with just a few brush strokes.
