Here's another still life but this time cropped a little closer. The challenge was to create a sense of refinement without losing a spontanenous, slightly raw feeling. Maybe the two sensibilities can co-exist and aren't mutually exclusive.

Stephen, I love your landscapes but I really like the handling of colour and shape in these still lives. You have succeeded in making the colour rich without being over-vibrant. Hope to see more.
