Two mugs
Oil on gessobord
8"x8"
SOLD

When I started this one, my only goals were to stay loose and have fun. As the painting progressed and I worked to refine the values and drawing, the challenge became to not paint out all the fun.

I like the goal of not painting the fun out. The two mugs are very fresh so I think you had fun until resolution.

I absolutely love this painting, such wonderful brushwork! I saw it on the daily painter blog, went to your blog and your images are not loading for me. I haven't had that trouble with other blogs and just wanted to alert you in case something is on your end.

Polly-
Thanks for your kind comments. I'm thinking the problem with the images must have been a temporary glich with blogger as I haven't seen this problem before.

I think you achieved your goals! I really enjoy this loose style, but I can tell you considered each brush stroke and color carefully.
